Classification:
Meet the world’s smallest dog!
The chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog and is named for the State of Chihuahua in Mexico. They are originated from Mexico and are mostly found within the United States. Chihuahua come in a wide variety of sizes, head shapes, colours and coat lengths. They are interesting pets, that seem to have most of the qualities human beings have.

Appearance:
The worlds smallest dog. Chihuahua's have apple shaped heads and their eyes are very large, very round and very dark. Their large ears are the breed trademark and sit erect atop the head.This type of breed can weigh anywhere between 0.9-3.6 kilograms.
They can not grow any longer than 30-38 cm tall, which is the normal height for a Chihuahua. They have curved tails that arc over their back. Chihuahua's may have short or long hair and come in colours of fawn, sand, chestnut, blue or silver. The most common colour is White.The Chihuahua dog breed's charms include his small size, outsize personality, and variety in coat types and colors. He's all dog, fully capable of competing in dog sports such as agility and obedience, and is among the top 10 watchdogs recommended by experts. He loves nothing more than being with his people and requires a minimum of grooming and exercise.

Habitat:
The Chihuahua is named after the state Chihuahua in Mexico. The city of Chihuahua Mexico lies about 241 Kilometers southwest of Presido Texas in the USA. This is where they originate from. Some are usually found in wild. They are most likely to be in the USA. They live inside houses not outside cause they are small animals and are most likely to be seen during the day.

Movement:
Chihuahua's can run, jump and walk.
Chihuahua's are small animals but can run up to 15 m.p.h. (Metres Per Hour)

Food:
The ideal food for Chihuahua's are the normal type of food that is sold at a grocery store. Occasionally, fresh vegetables and fruits make a good diet for Chihuahua's in addition to eggs and yogurts. The food costs about $20.00 altogether for a week's supply so not too much. They need to be feed at least once or twice a day but Chihuahua's don't really eat.They are omnivores.

Behaviour:
Each Chihuahua is different because each has his or her own particular personality and way of perceiving the world. They are the smallest breed of dogs and some work as service dogs. A Chihuahua does not choose one person as it's main owner. This dog easily attaches to people.
It gets along with their own breed and of course their own kind, Chihuahua's.

Life-Cycle:
A Chihuahua can live up to 15 to 20 years.You might be wondering how long a Chihuahua can be pregnant for? The official duration of a Chihuahua’s pregnancy is between 62 and 64 days. However, this can somewhat vary depending on the number of puppies your Chihuahua is going to have.There is likely to be more than 2 Chihuahua’s during the pregnancy. They rely on their mothers until they are at least 5 or 6 years old.

Conclusion:

The Chihuahua is the most famous of the “purse puppies,” toy dogs toted around in chic upscale doggie bags by high-profile celebrities and socialites. The most famous celebrity Chihuahua is Tinker Bell, who spends her days nestled in socialite Paris Hilton’s handbag.
Therefore, Chihuahua's can be cute but can also be deceiving.
